Poster Suggestions for NIPS 2000

Suggestions for Good Poster Presentations
1) Keep fonts large so everything can be read from at least 3 feet
away.
2) Minimize text in favor of graphics where possible.
3) Keep the color scheme simple, using color changes when they're
required to make a point.
Arbitrary color changes contribute to clutter and viewer fatigue.
4) Plan your poster narration ahead of time. (Maybe two, a quick
overview, and a detailed version.)
5) Tack an envelop to the poster board to collect requests for preprints
(or bring a pile of copies of your manuscript).
6) If possible, print a portable (letter or A4 size) version of your
poster for handouts.
Here are some
further poster guidelines.
