Easter is probably from IE *aws 'dawn, east' with cognates
east and aurora. Star was *ster. Ishtar/Astarte/... was used
by many different languages of Asia Minor. I suppose the root
could have travelled to or from the steppes, or it could be
a random similaritity.

(I read reduplicated IE *kwe-kwel 'wheel' was borrowed into
Asia Minor as kukel/... Was *gwow 'cow' borrowed the other
way?)
