Shalom can be used in Hebrew for good-bye. However, people more
often use 'lehitraot' (le-hit-ra-ot), which means roughly
'will be seeing you again'

another colquial form is 'yalla, bye' - a compound of the Arabic
exclamtion 'yalla' (go on, c'mon etc.) and the English 'bye'
