In article <795410490snz@storcomp.demon.co.uk> philip@storcomp.demon.co.uk (Phil Hunt) writes:

German is more complex than this: adjectives sometimes agree with the
   noun on number, sometimes not.

You can make up such a rule, but it is not very useful. In German, adjectives
always agree with the noun on number, but sometimes the singular and
plural forms of the adjective are identical.

Also (according to my German teacher) many Germans don't use the standard
   adjective endings.

Anyone not using them would be considered to speak some dialect, but not standard
German.
