This may seem like a sort of elamental question, but I keep on getting
different answers to it depending on who I talk to (service techs, my
boss, etc).

What is possible in terms of moving files off of a Docutech? To me, it
seems logical to be able to scan a file on the Docutech, and then send it
to a PC... after all, I've already got information going the other way
(via XPPS).

I've got the ethernet card, the cable, the Docutech will easily accept
files from the PC... why can't I go the extra step and download files from
the Doc? I'm under the impression that a Docutech networked with a Sun
station has this possibility...

Can someone tell me what's possible and what's not (and preferably give me
a clear answer why)?

thanks in advance,

--Baron
