: how much does it cost,

$29.95

: and are there any "goodies"
: i.e. code/pc board layouts/etc that comes with it? Any assistance would
: be greatly appreciated.

There is example code provided in hard copy form in the book, there are
schematics for all of the circuits mentioned in the book.

I don't have the details with me at this time but I beleive there are
PCBs being made available and example code available via ftp.

The book provides and excellent overview of the techniques needed to design
and build working small scale robots, a must for any robot hobbyist.
There are two complete robots covered; the TuteBot, a hardwired robot
designed to introduce the basics of behavior based control and electronics;
and Rug Warrior, a microprocessor controled (68HC11), programmable
robot with several sensor systems.
