I just went to an Intel seminar freebee on the 386EX and i960 (also on
there FLEXlogic PLD). The dealer was correct that the 386EX is not
production yet. However, You should be able to get someone to get you a
sample right now. If you are a company looking at this chip for your next
embedded system you'll get the sales guys falling over themselves to help
you design one in. If you talk to nice distrubutor and tell them what
you want and why, they probably will spring one for you (they are 40 or
50 bucks or so). Arrow electronics is an Intel disti. also I believe
Marshal and Wyle and Future Active are Intel Disti's. (At least 3 out of
those 4 are Intel disti's.)

Since they are only sampling right now that implies that there is a bug
or two still in the hardware you would get. Usually this doesn't bother
anyone (except the guy that insists on doing word DMA from a non-aligned
address [something the V25+ cannot handle.] for example ).
