I also got NMIX0022 last summer.  But, it only costs me $99!  Sounds
like they really jacked their prices.  It's a great board and has
sockets for 3 8Kbyte memory devices.

The small C compiler is OK, but it is doesn't support ANSI C or even
structures for that matter.  Fact is that all the software distributed
on the New Micro's diskette is either freeware or shareware that they
got off the net somewhere!  I recently ftp'ed the latest ICC compiler
( v0.48 ) and it is much, much better than the SMALL C compiler.
