I read this on the UPI news wire today:

"Isaac Asimov died on this day in 1992. He was 72. Asimov wrote science
fiction and, in fact, invented the term "robot." He used short stories and
novels to suggest the various challenges we're likely to face if robots ever
get to the point where they can think for themselves."

Does this seem right? I thought Asimov died in 1993.

In any case, it is sad that he is gone. His stories inspired
me (and I am sure many other comp.robotics readers).
