Fortunately, I still have slight connection to the net.

I received and reviewed the new Japanese Robot Sumo tape
and, frankly, find it not up to last year's standards.

Last year's was editted for television, this one is not.
There is no voice over dubbing, no funny guy dressed up
in a rubber Sumo outfit, no visits to the robot builder's
homes, and no terribly interesting machines.

It's over 3 hours of EP quality tape. There is a lot of
   boring ceremony and talking heads.

I originally said that the SFRSA would be a distribution
point for this tape, but, without a lot of editting, and
perhaps some subtitles, it's not worth it.

Brad is right. I am so sorry for people who are expecting much on
this tape. I had to explain its contents more clearly, but I didn't.
I am really sorry for you.

Actually, there were several TV station covering the event before.
One of them did make the program well editted and much interesting.
The tapes I distributed before were the copy of the program that the
TV station had made.

I don't know exact reason, but I guess it's because of Japanese
economic slump, they didn't came to collect scenes this year. The
tape is only thing that I could get from the main sponcer this year.

Even though, I thought some people are expecting to see latest robot
wrestlers. I believe the tape would be one of unique information
source.

You might have to reconsider if you are going to pay several bucks for
a copy of the tape.
