Oh but it does sir!
You click on the Draw option on the menu (or press ALT D)
and then disable the Fill option. The next time you draw,
you just get the arc. You can click once on the arc
and scale the arc. You can double click the arc and then
extent/shorten the arc by picking up the end points.

I think if the Draw module had a spline function as
well, the world would be a much better place.
