Late last week i announced that i would be demonstrating a small hobby
robot platform at the Meccano/Erector booth at the Spring (Toronto) Hobby
Show, which happens to be the venue for the B.E.A.M. Robot Competition.

Well, i've just found out tonight from the booth's organiser that there
aren't enough Meccano/Erector nerds interested in participating. Hence,
the booth will not be open. Rather a pity, alas.

However, those of you who will be coming in from out-of-town for the
B.E.A.M. competition should e-mail me !!!NOW!!! if you are interested in
seeing the little critter that i have built. I'm not even sure if i will
be at the Show, but i will be in Toronto for the weekend, so perhaps we
can work out some kind of "private" viewing!

Oh, anyone hear about the Robot SUMO demonstration that's being given by
the OCA (yes, the Ontario College of ART!) is putting on, Wednesday, 2
March? (It's a 4 pm, in case anyone can make it.) I'm planning on going,
just to see what kind of robots a buncha artsies can come up with ;>

Actually, several OCA types in the past have shown a gift for combining
"art" and technology so the show could be really quite bizarre. Sorta
like SRL on a tabletop, perhaps.
