The School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University is
recruiting qualified candidates for a research faculty position in the
Robotics Institute.  The successful candidate will be
software-oriented and have combined research interests in software
engineering and real-time systems.  Research interests could include,
but not be limited to, software architectures, non-traditional
programming styles including reconfigurable/modular and reusable
software design, real-time operating systems, embedded systems, rapid
prototyping of software systems, and hardware/software interactions.
The candidate should have some experience with applying their software
methodologies to robotic applications.  Candidates will be recruited
from both new PhD graduates of high quality programs and from
industrial research organizations.  Applicants should send their
