Are there any sensors available that detect shear?

We want them for fine
manipulation control. It would be nice if compression were
decoupled or decouple-able from the output.

Generally, is there a guide to current state of art of
sensors approximating capabilities of human skin (stretch,
shear, compression, like that?).

Thanks,
Chris Brown
