I just made the cheepest drill bushing. I was able to chuck up
an 8-32 set screw in my lathe and drill it out with a #50 drill.
It wasn't easy drilling but I got it through. I suppose
that the hardness of the set screws vary from manufacturer to
manufacturer.

Then I tapped my drill fixture with an 8-32 tap. Now I have a
combination set screw lock and drill bushing. The #50 drill
passes by the hex shaped interior of the set screw. It was a
very useful contrivence for the tiny parts I'm working on.
