Several people have asked about the availability of small boards based
on Motorola's 68332 chip. (This is a high powered embedded control
CPU based on a 32-bit 68000 core.)

In this month's Circuit Cellar INK, two companies advertise 68332
boards:

VESTA TECHNOLOGY, INC: the SBC332, measures 2.3" x 6.25", runs at 16
MHz (or slower to conserve power under software control), $249 in
quantities of 25. Vesta Technology, Inc., (303) 422-8088, fax
422-9800, bbs 278-0364.

SYNDETIX, INC: the S.E.C. (Syndetix Embedded Controller), measures
4.11" by 2.61" [wow, that's pretty small], has 256K or 1M of SRAM,
256K or 512K of flash memory, 128K EPROM, RS-232 interface. EPROM
defaults to being Motorola's CPU32BUG monitor. SRAM may be externally
battery-backed. $750 in single quantity. Syndetix, Inc., 2820 North
Telshor Blvd., Las Curses, NM 88001, (505) 522-8762, fax 521-1619.

BTW, Circuit Cellar INK is a great resource for embedded control
technology; there must be at least thirty different companies
advertising various boards in each issue. Subscriptions are $21.95
for 12 issues/year at (609) 786-0409. A great hands-on project
magazine.

Cheers,
Fred

P.S. I have no affiliations with any company mentioned herein.
