The dataglove that you are referring to is the CyberGlove distributed by
Virtual Technologies, of which Jim Kramer (CyberGlove creator) is the president.
The brochure that I have describes the bend sensor as, among others, being of 
high precision (accurate and repeatable), linear, independent of joint radius 
of curvature, and decoupled from other sensor outputs.

The Polhemus device is mounted at the dorsal side of the wrist. If you require
high precision of, say, the location of the fingertips, you might want to take
this into consideration. Has anyone who has used the Polhemus device faced any
problems with accuracy in the Polhemus readings? If so, I would be interested to
hear about this; I am currently using the CyberGlove and Polhemus devices for
my work in teaching robots to perform tasks from observation.
