I'm looking for a mechanism for timed pre-emption in Lisp.

I've used the Haynes/Friedman/Dybvig style engines in Chez scheme.
Does anyone know of a similar mechanism for Lisp?
Perhaps an implementation of engines itself?
I wanted to check on the net first before i tried writing a version
myself. Thanks.
