I'm told by a magazine editor who has review it, that it performs
very well. This is an opinion from someone used to coding in C++,
not Lisp, so I suspect that it's a good guide. If it impressed
_him_, using a fast 486 machine, then I'd be satisfied. He was also
confidant that it could run well on my 20 Mhz 386DX with 8 MB of
RAM, altho he couldn't check that.

For Windows? Not that I know of. It seems that Gold Hill are no
longer selling their Lisp for Windows. I don't know about any of
the other Lisps for this platform.

I've not purchased anything from them yet, but I've found them to
be very helpful and eager to provide info about their products.

I'm unable to answer your other questions, as I've no experience
writing expert systems.
