Are you just making this up for some reason, or do you know
something about the matter that we don't?  I suppose one never 
knows what psychology students might be up to, but your theory
doesn't sound remarkably likely to me.

In any event, why would you characterize as trivial the idea of a
national magazine inaccurately portraying our favorite technologies
(with which we earn our bread and butter) in a way that would 
confuse many people?

I was impuning the apparent method of a study by suggesting that
it was unlikely to measure what it claimed to.  If the magazine
author had responded to anyone asking for some detail about
what the issues were, people might be more interested in helping him.

I don't see what is "out of control" about the situation.
I don't understand your ad-hominem remark about my message.  
Regarding your sugestion that you have had "Enuff!", are you
aware that you can programatically choose to not read the 
netnews articles that you don't want to?
