A colleague recently suggested that I read a response that McCarthy
wrote to the chapter in Computer Power and Human Reason about
programmer psychology (Weizenbaum is of course quite negative
on the subject). He didn't have a copy of the reply, but he
remembers having seen it online at SAIL sometime back in the
Golden Age. Can anyone pass me a copy, or a URL, or a citation
of a publication? (He said he thought it was in a very old
SIGART somewhere, but again wasn't sure.)
