There is currently a movement underway to reorganise the comp.ai hierarhcy
based on topics covered in conferences and workshops (e.g., learning, KR,
planning, etc.)

The question has arisen as to whether readers of comp.ai.philosophy feel
that there is a need for a split of this newsgroup, and if so, how they
feel this might be done. The following have been suggested as themes
that might be used in such a split:

+ Philosophy of mind and consciousness
   + Philosophy of language
   + Modularity
   + Behavior
+ Belief and other Mental Attitudes
   + Perception
   + Symbolic vs Non-symbolic approaches
+ Books -- discussion of Penrose, Searle, etc.

Would anyone with opinions on this matter please either reply to this
message, or email their views directly to me.

Please note, this is neither an official request for discussion nor
a call for votes. It is merely intended as a brief survey of opinion.
