Sounding silly needs more amplification.  To the majority of people
who have been indoctrinated to believe that the
brain embodies a soul that cannot be embodied in a machine, it would
sound "silly".  But that's what we're discussing.  You're not
describing an argument.

Really, now?  I missed this on the first pass.  We have a name for
when a person proposes not to discuss an important subject because it
could lead to financial loss. It is called conflict of interest, and
in intellectual affairs is considered unethical.
