Hum... About the decline of the Western culture, I could at least
recommand two references, first Edmund Husserl's Krisis and Oswald
Spengler book "Le declin de l'Occident" (Sorry, I don't know the
english title). This last book contains also an interesting chapter on the
differences between Modern mathematics and Greek mathematics.
