In our AI Group in INESC, we have, from time to time, discussions
about selected articles.

During the last weeks I became very interested in the discussion about
the Chinese Room problem, and i would like to propose a discussion here
about that matter.

So I need:

o One article about Searle's view. Perhaps the original article by
Searle himself would be the best, but I don't know, since I've never
read it and I don't know much about this subject (it was hard to follow
all the threads that dealt with the subject...)

o One article against Searle's view. I don't think, for all I've read,
this will be too hard to find. Problably it will be harder to select
one... Anyway, I need your advise to select one such article.

o Finally, I need not only the references, but also the articles
themselves. So I'd like to know where can I get them quickly (not too
quickly, but quickly...) [Ah, I am in Portugal, where orders from abroad
tend to take a few (3, 4) months to arrive].

Thanks

Luis Antunes
