Hello,

I am currently working on a project which predicts new words users want to type
before they type them. This is very useful for slow typists and people with
literacey problems. The actual software has been commercially available for
some time, but the new system attenpts to bring this functionality to all
writers, as a writing tool to have on your Windows desktop.

First of all, Does anyone have any comments on this system ? Would you use a
system which sat in a window giving you choices of words to type as you wrote
into any writing package? It uses frequency, and recency statistics, as well as
a syntactical parser, to come up with predicted words.

Secondly, Does anyone know of any other text generation writing tools ?

Most text generation systems seem to be computer spouting poetry etc...
nice, but functionally pretty useless.

Most software writing tools seem to concentrate on post-production manipulation
of text : style/grammar checkers, spelling systems, word frequencies and
statistical analysis etc...

Are there any other text generation writing tools around ??

please email me if you want any more details of the project/current software.

Many thanks,

Chris
