Re: RPX aspect of cog physics

I have received some very interesting questions and comments on the Random
Perspective Expansion (RPX) aspect of cog physics. I have reprinted and
responded to one of special interest. BTW, I can not read your comments
unless you email them directly to me. D.Albert Harrell DAHarrell@aol.com

Comment:
A professor here, Richard Catrambone, investigates subgoals in procedure
acquisition (eg. solving physics problems) - it appears that the name of the
subgoal is generally irrelevant but having them facilitates transfer to novel
problems. Why? because of a pause in the cognitive apparatus allowing
matching of the processes to the current situation.

Reply:
Intelligence is basically the reflection and resection of the order that a
given entity has perceived emanating from its target environment. This
inherent environmental order may be detected, not only in the definition
artifacts which represent said order, but also within the apparatus as it
handles said artifacts. Furthermore, this apparatus, as well as the
definition artifacts it is handling, may be view from any number of
perspectives, focusing on any conceivable instruction/artifact configuration.
