Better yet, watch Java have _lots_ of class libraries.  (All
incompatible with each other, of course!  :-)

Between the NIH syndrome and the fact that companies need
a class library _now_ (not in two years after the standards
committee finishes), I predict you will see a lot of
conflicting work being done in this area (as it was, to a
lesser degree, in Smalltalk).  And products developed with
one class library will not work with any other.  Sigh...
