I did'nt know about this Competition but an other competition
called "Echtzeit" (Realtime for english) was about nice and
funny small controll programms. E.g. controlling a robot to
continous push a ball against a wall.

The teams could bring up to five people, and their hard and
software. They had time for a weekend. First after 3 hours
was a robotron team with a 8080 system running VolXforth,
second was Dec on a Vax, third was Siemens with Step5.

Ok this was an non database competition, but I could think
about comparing teams with their tools, could be a good
	fun.
