access
(including all EDI formatting and conversion), async communications to
laptop systems,
and all monitoring and diagnostics tools.

The system included Win 3.1, OS/2 WARP, UNIX (AIX) , Novell Netware,
ORACLE and DB2 components. All software was developed using Object Oriented
Programming (OOPs) techniques. I also assisted in staffing, management,
technology
assessment, third party relations and training.

Countrywide Funding Corp. - Developed an Electronic Data Interchange
(EDI) system to gather and integrate information required in the loan
origination process,

The system operated in either a single or multi-user environment. The
multi-user
environment was implemented using IBM LAN-Manager. The system was written
in C++,
using OOPs techniques. CodeBase provided an xBase database environment for
data
storage. An OOPs asynchronous communications library was developed to
provide access
to vendor computer systems. The operating system was OS/2 2.1. The
graphical user
interface (GUI) was Presentation Manager.

I also assisted in the development of the Executive Information System
(EIS), loan
servicing, CLUES automated underwriting using AI techniques, accounting,
and
compliance areas of the company using C++, SmallTalk, Visual Basic, ACCESS,
FoxPro-Windows and Paradox-Windows.

Informative Research - Developed a communications system which coordinated
credit report requests with credit repository vendors, generated merged
reports and data and
delivered reports and data to remote client locations and/or systems.
TCP/IP was used to
link the communications system to the credit reporting systems. The system
was written in
C++ using OOPs techniques. RAIMA's DBVista was used for data storage. SCO
UNIX
was used as the operating system.

ARCO Products - Developed a document retrieval system using client/server
technology. The system could store and retrieve both text and graphic
documents on
Novell servers. Both MS-WINDOWS 3.0 and Macintosh computers were
supported. The
system was programmed in C++, SmallTalk, HyperCard/SuperCard, SQL Server
and
OMNIS 5.

McDonnell Douglas - Developed a number of systems utilizing client/server
technology. ORACLE and RDB were used on VAX Computers under VMS to provide
the
server development environment. The nightly batch processing and reports
w
C, FORTRAN and ORACLE 4gl report tools. The client applications were
written in C++,
SmallTalk, 4th Dimension and HyperCard on Macintosh, 386/486-PCs running
windows,
and UNIX workstations running MOTIF and DECWindows.

Applications included: EMAIL, Parametric Engineering tools, requirement
tracking
system, document retrieval and AI document scanning systems. The computers
were
connected using TCP/IP, DECNET, APPLETALK and NOVELL LAN protocols.

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. - Developed a mobile pen-based system to gather
market information in the field and transmit it back to the IBM mainframe
for analysis.

Hybrid Arts - Developed ADAPT and SMPTE-Track audio recording and mixing
systems.

Tele-Vu - Developed multimedia systems used in advertising.

Standard Brands Paint Co. - Developed a Point of Sale (POS) system in C
and
Assembly. All communications between the remote store computers and the
corporate
mainframe were passed through two UNIX computers. The system included:
payroll,
inventory control, cash register control, credit validation (using TRW),
EMAIL and store
operations.

The communications between the corporate facility and the remote store
locations
were standard asynchronous protocols. The UNIX communications processors
and the
support systems were connected by TCP/IP. The communications processors
were
connected to the SPERRY mainframe using SNA LU6.2. The host system had the
ability
to monitor (in real-time) the communications process and validate all
information
transferred.

GTE - Developed voice and phone actuated query systems to access database
applications from remote locations.
