I thought that Visual Smalltalk WAS Smalltalk/ V v3 coupled with
PARTS.

Is there some reason you can't create SLL's with VS?  (no flame
intended, just asking)

You're right about VSE being more of a complete developement
environment as opposed to being a multiple programmer tool although it
seems to me that it is the latter as well.  Personally, I can't stand
PVCS or the company that publishes it, so I'm more than willing to
look for alternatives.  :)  I haven't used VSE, although I have seen
it.
