Ok, you're wrong!  Smalltalk V for Windows v2.0 is still available
from the Smalltalk Store for cheap - under $200 I think.  You can
upgrade it to the regular edition of Visual Smalltalk which includes
Parts for $800.  The version you're thinking about is Visual Smalltalk
Enterprise which has stuff like multiple programmer support, and some
other stuff and that is around $3000.  You can get pretty most of that
from the 3d party market for less.  VSE is aimed at commercial
developers, but as I understand it, regular VS is the same Smalltalk.
