I have seen a version of Little Smalltalk for the Mac which I believe
to be PD (although I may be wrong so for God's sake check). I can
probobly help you track it down if you are interested.

However, I'd go for VW if you can afford it and have a machine that
will run it becuase it is just the best environment I have ever worked
in.
