OOCL, an industry leader in the containerized shipping business, is 
embarking on a major IS project, IRIS-2.  The project is to develop an 
integrated regional information system to empower our front-line staff 
with better tools to serve our customers.  With  over 2,000 employees in 
130 offices around the world, OOCL offers reliable transportation 
services to its customers via a global network of ocean and intermodal 
routes.   We are looking for motivated people with strong communication 
and planning skills  and experience in the areas below to join this 
exciting project.  

Object Oriented Software Engineers
Should be skilled and have an interest in one of more of the following:
User interface analysis, U/I frameworks, and application building
Business object modeling and implementation
Object persistence and global distribution
System Architecture design
Tools and infrastructure development

All applicants in these areas must have several years (3+) experience 
with OO software development, the ability to work in small teams (<8 
members) on a large project (40+ developers) and a firm understanding of 
at least one OOD method.  Preference will be given to those with 
significant experience using VisualWorks and ENVY, building Enterprise 
business models, using OMT or Booch methodologies and dealing with 
persistence (both OODB and Relational) issues for object models.  
Expertise in any of the following areas also a plus:  commercial 
shipping, GemStone, Sybase, the internals of the tools and core of 
VisualWorks/Envy, group leading, and architectures supporting a global WAN.

Technical Lead/Project Manager
Applicants must have skills listed for OO Software engineer position plus 
the ability, experience and interest to support and manage a software 
development team, helping them to become as productive and happy as 
possible as well as ensuring long term staff development.

QA Architect
OO design and analysis, QA Process implementation, proven ability to 
manage projects on time and on budget.  Software metrics in an 
OO environment.  Design, implement and support project QA process. 
Develop metrics for software control, manage QA team and support 
documentation team.

QA Engineers
Knowledge of OO design and development, software testing techniques, 
strong planning and communication skills to verify quality of 
individual applications, develop scenarios, test plans, test scenarios, 
scripts and programs.
 
System Support Lead
HP UX and WIN NT Platform, MS software support, TCP/IP, LAN manager, 
Novell, CISCO router, Windows NT server  client config and mgt to plan 
and administer PC LAN and Unix systems for development center.
