Full time permanent Smalltalk Programming Positions in Switzerland

ESEC SA, the leading supplier of equipment and automation systems for 
semiconductor assembly,is seeking smalltalk software engineers for 
the AUTOLINE system.  The AUTOLINE control system is written 
primarily in VisualWorks and has a software architecture based on the 
SEMATECH CIM Framework.  The positions are at our head office located 
in Cham, Switzerland.  ESEC is an international company with 9 sales 
offices located in Asia, Europe and the U.S.  The AUTOLINE R&D team 
consists of engineers from all over the world, including Switzerland, 
the U.S., Singapore and Australia.

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:
        + Three to five years object-oriented programming experience.
        + Practical experience in object-oriented analysis and design 
          methods (e.g., OMT, Booch, Schlaer Mellor).
        + Software design experience.
        + Technical writing ability.
        + Good communication skills and ability to work well in a
          team: the project involves very intensive cooperation with
          marketing and direct communication with customers.

Other skills that would be advantageous but which are not essential:
 
        + Experience with Visualworks 2.0 and Envy Developer.
        + Semiconductor CIM/MES system experience, or familiarity with the
          SEMATECH CIM Framework.
        + Object-oriented database experience.
        + Knowledge in one or more of the following application 
          areas:
                * statistical process control
                * recipe management
                * scheduling/planning
                * GUI
                * system services
                * multi-threading (concurrent) smalltalk 
                  application experience
        + Familiarity with UNIX.
        + Existing knowledge of German.
        + Envy Developer Library Management.
