Biggest problem with Delphi is it's proprietary extension to the Pascal.
You are basically locked into a single vendor.  While you might think
ParcPlace and Digitalk is sort of locking in, at least you have option of
porting to different vendor.

I wish they have chosen Smalltalk instead of inventing another language.
Sort of "Turbo-Smalltalk".
