                INDUSTRIAL VISION PROJECT MANAGER

The CVC is a public R&D organization supported by the Catalonia Governement
and the "Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona". The CVC covers an extensive
set of activities related to computer vision, and following three main
directions: education, research and services to industry. Particularly,
the services to industry area is growing very fast, as a result of a
continously increasing demand from private and public companies. An example
of such systems are matching vision products for manufacturing purposes.

Applications are invited from persons with experience in industrial vision
systems design.

The position will be responsible of technical aspects: designing,
programming and integrating advanced hardware and software components
mainly for cooperative projects with the industry. The appointed person will
be responsible of a small team, wich size will be variable depending on the
particular projects to be conducted. For some small projects, no team but
just himself will be the only developer.

The applicants will be expected to have:
    - M.Sc in Physics, Maths, Computer Science or Engineering;
    - good background on theoretical and practical aspects of image
      processing and computer vision systems;
    - experience in designing and developping industrial vision applications;
    - good skills in Unix OS and programming tools (C);
    - experience in using image processing oriented hardware: DataCube,
      cards (Matrox,...).
