I just noticed an advertisement in the latest Nuts'and'volts
magazine for U.S. Cyberlab, INC. They are selling an X-Y-Z
gantry system which includes all of the hardware, drives, motors,
motor controller cards (plug into PC) and apparantly some
software. They claim .0005" accuracy with an 18" X 18" X 4.5"
work envelope. The whole thing costs $549 !!
Has anyone seen one of these things? I'm trying to figure out
how they can charge that price when a set of Thompson rods and
a lead screw would cost about $500.

John
