I've used these Radio Shack reveiver modules for IR remote controls for my
robots. I use an old TV remote control and decode it through an HC11.
Volume up and Volume down is forward and reverse. Channel up and Channel
down is spin left and spin right. Mute(stop). Anyway, there devices are
cheap and very reliable. I can bounce the signal off the ceiling/wall etc.
My next step is to try them out in a range finding system.
Thanks for all the info exchanged here on the net. I find it all very useful
and interesting.
