Another way to find the stall current in a DC motor is to stall it
(somehow lock it so it cannot turn hold it, vise grips, ...)
Then it will draw its max stall current for a long enough time to
read it on the DVM.  Hard on the drive curcuit unless it is built 
to take stall currents all the time.

   I belive another way is to just measure the resistance across your
motor (out of the drive curcuit).  Then drive Voltage divided by Resistance
will also give you the stall current.  If you dont belive me, try it-
it works!
