I'm hoping someone out there can answer this for me:

The Flesch-Kincaid (and others) are pretty standard readability formulas
(yeah, I know they have their limitions), and some word-processors will
compute them for you.  

Does anyone know if there are similar standard formulas for French and 
German, and other major European languages?  What are they and
how do you get them?
