While these pro/con IAL and pro/con Esperanto threads are not really, by 
and large, germane to sci.lang, they would be at least as out of place in 
soc.culture.esperanto, which is primarily for discussion *in* Esperanto 
of "cultural" matters (in the usual broad sense of the soc.culture 
newsgroups).  Posting anti-Esperanto harangues (or even pro- ones) in 
English on sce would be very bad form, and would beget flames.  

Personally, I just wish *my* server *provided* alt.english.usage; it 
doesn't, and won't, don't know why, so I from time to time post things 
here that I know would be better put there...
