First: There is no such language/dialect called 'Limburgs'. There are, in the 
Dutch province Limburg, many dialects that differ widely from each other. That 
is one of the reasons the Limburgs anthem is sung in Dutch.

Second: I do agree that the Limburgian dialects are not a language

Third: I do not share the view of 'stupid narrow-minded jerks who *refuse* to 
speak decent Dutch when considered appropriate'. That may be so for the 
'Hollanders' who raise their speaking-disability to the Dutch language.
