Sure. Why not? And I disagree with your characterization of
Jesus. I think Pasteur, for instance, or Jennings, have had as
much if not more influence than Jesus. Ditto ananymous who
invented 'zero', the people who discovered writing, and
agriculture.

Why on Earth would someone have to be real to influence people?
It's the followers who do the wrok, and people seem to follow
myths as well (or better) than they do real people.

You probably think Zeus and Athena and the Egyptian gods are
myths -- yet they influenced countries for millenia.
