An interesting overview of many of the world's writing systems (including
the Cherokee and the Ojibwa <= Cree => Eskimo syllabaries) is provided by
THE ALPHABET MAKERS, published by The Museum of the Alphabet (Box 248,
Waxhaw, NC 28173 Usono) in collaboration with SIL/WBT. I am working on
an Esperanto overview of the subject, drawing heavily on the
aforementioned, perhaps excessively illustrated work. (And no, the
Esperanto equivalent below isn't that much longer; I put more into it!)

cxerokan kaj ogxibvean <= nehijauxeuxan => inukan silabarojn) liveras The
verko. Eble iam mi eldonos gxin... Parenteze, la muzeanoj ne estas
esperantistoj, do skribu al ili prefere angle aux anglapigxine, kaj
