Are you _sure_ it's not a _Georgian_ influence?  It's a well known fact 
that Spartacus's middle name (in ancient Greek the middle name is simply 
the middle voice of the verbal form of the true name) was Tiphlikos, 
clearly meaning "from Tbilisi".

Cxu vi tutcerte scias ke tio ne estas kartvela influo?  Estas bone 
atestite, ke la "meza nomo" (en la helena la "meza nomo" estas tutsimple 
la mezvocxa formo de la verbigita vera nomo) de Spartako estis 
"Tiflikos", klare signifante "el Tbiliso"...
