   the ones that worked out.    There's a much longer list of inventions 
   that never did come to anything, and that people were *right* to 
   reject.

My point was that whether or not something turns out to be useful
does not necessarily depend on what the immediate reaction to
them is. But of course I should not have expected you to understand
that. I offer my apologies.
