I'm also a native Californian, but I pronounce "tot" differently from
the other two.  For "tot", I say (approximately) TAHT.
For "taught" or "taut", I say something like TAWT.

I should probably admit that my parents came from the "Midwest", i.e.,
states about twice as far from the Pacific as from the Atlantic.  My
California accent may therefore have some Midwestern impurities that I
am not aware of.
