I want to compile as comprehensive a list as possible of *standard* images
and video sequences and their locations on the Internet. I know that
there are umpteen image archive sites out there, but I'm not interested
in an exhaustive list or anything. What I need to know is if there is
a consensus about using specific images in various areas of research
and development. For example, in the area of image restoration, the
MIT cameraman image gets used extensively and can be thought of as a
standard. In coding, Lena is used (although folks are moving away
from it now). In video coding, I think there's a sequence of a salesman
that's sometimes used. Can anybody tell me of other widely recognized
standard images or sequences and -- if possible -- where they can be found.
