Hi there,

I will apprecite if some out there can answer the following question On
Shapiro's paper on "Embeded Image Coding using Zero trees of wavelet
Coefficients" .

Q: Why after each subordinate pass, the magnitudes of the coefficients are
ordered? Is it necessary to do this ordering or how the decoder can find
the location of these coefficients?

Thanks,

Majid
